Christmas

I just realized that with everything going on this last month that we didn't post any of our Christmas stuff!! Christmas was way fun for us. We went and cut down a real Christmas tree at a tree farm by our house. It was so much fun that it might become a tradition. We also had some friends; Polly, Cade, and their son Ryan and Leonard and his daughter Aria; for dinner and to make gingerbread houses. Ours wasn't as cute as last years. Of course we went up to my parent's house and acted out the nativity as we always do, but this year we also opened up our presents. We had decided earlier that for the gift exchange it had to be homemade and well we all wanted to see what everyone came up with. We had my mom so we made a calendar that had a ton of family pictures on it and eveyone's b-days and anniverserys since she's always asking. Georgia Kate had us and she made us matching hats for the BYU games. She even got the blue color to match the cougar blue. I hope that we always have the gift exchange, Scott's family doesn't and they don't all get together for christmas either. To be honest I think that the Penrod Christmas overwhelms him a bit (somewhere I have a picture taken of him the first year and he looks like he is in shock). But over all and considering everything, Christmas was great and we really enjoyed going home and reading the nativity ourselves and talking about Jesus Christ and his gift that he gave us. It was a real comfort to both of us.
